WHEREAS, Springfield Public School District 186 is interested in strengthening cooperative interagency planning and community based services; and
WHEREAS, SPARC, Memorial Health Systems, Springfield Public School District 186 and the Division of Rehabilitation Services will collaborate and cooperate to create a High School Project SEARCH Transition program for students with developmental disabilities, and to foster and facilitate the acquisition of jobs by people with disabilities when possible; and
WHEREAS, Springfield Memorial Health Systems - Project SEARCH will work collaboratively to provide internship opportunities for a minimum of 10-12 student participants (per school year) with developmental disabilities;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of Springfield Public School District 186 approve the agreement with SPARC, Memorial Health Systems and Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services to collaborate and share responsibilities as stated in the Memorandum of Understanding that demonstrates the working relationship between the District and Springfield Memorial Health Systems - Project SEARCH effective January 19, 2022. |
