WHEREAS, the Architect for Springfield High School has recommended a variance from the requirements of the International Building Code 2015 Sections 712.1.1 through 712.1.16; and
WHEREAS, the Architect requests the option to use the provisions outlined in IBC 2021 Section 404.5 for the atrium / learning stair area in the new architectural designs; and
WHEREAS, the Regional Office of Education and Illinois State Board of Education must review variance requests and make final determinations;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education approves the application for variance approval for submission to the Regional Office of Education and Illinois State Board of Education.
